Apply for an online loan in Switzerland

At eny Credit you submit the loan application entirely online. You usually receive a provisional credit decision within around 3 minutes. This is not a loan commitment: the final decision follows only once your details and documents have been fully assessed.

1. What is an online loan?

An online loan is not a separate loan product, but a digital route to the agreement. The application, documents and agreement are handled online; this does not change the requirements for the assessment.

eny reviews every application. For loans subject to the Consumer Credit Act (KKG), the assessment of ability to repay is required by law. Loans above CHF 80,000 generally fall outside the scope of the KKG; even for such applications, however, a full internal credit assessment is carried out.

2. How does the application proceed step by step?

StepWhat happensWhat you doDuration
1ApplicationEnter amount, term and details on your person, employment and budgetonline
2Provisional decisionAutomated first assessment based on your detailsusually around 3 minutes
3DocumentsSubmit the required evidence digitallydepends on your availability
4Final assessmentDetails, ability to repay and creditworthiness are assessed; where required, with inquiries at ZEK and IKOonce the file is complete
5OfferIndividual annual percentage rate, monthly instalment and total cost are disclosed in writingafter a positive assessment
6AgreementYou sign if you wish to accept the offer
7Withdrawal and payoutFor KKG contracts, the statutory withdrawal period applies. Payout follows the final decision and the agreed process.withdrawal period: 14 days from receipt of the copy of the contract

The application is non-binding until signature. There is no deadline from our side by which you must decide.

3. Which documents do you need?

Have these documents ready as a file or photo, and it will go through in one pass:

  • official identity document (identity card, passport) or residence permit B or C
  • the current salary statements requested in the application
  • details on rent, health insurance and other fixed expenses
  • for existing loans or leasing agreements: the agreement or a balance statement
  • IBAN of the account to which the payout should be made

We only ask for what is required for the assessment. Details on the intended use are not among these — the consumer loan is not tied to a specific purpose.

4. How long does it take until payout?

The provisional credit decision after around 3 minutes says nothing about when money will be paid out. Before a payout, the file must be fully assessed, the loan finally approved and the agreement concluded.

For a loan subject to the KKG, the withdrawal period is 14 days from receipt of the copy of the contract. The specific payout timeframe is disclosed in the offer or during the application process.

6. What is different about the digital application compared with the counter?

  • Identification — carried out digitally using your identity documents.
  • Signature — the agreement is signed electronically.
  • Documents — uploaded instead of on paper.
  • Overview during the term — you can view documents and the loan balance at any time in eny Control.

Your details are transmitted encrypted. The application itself is completed on a separate, secured host, as is the customer area for current agreements.

7. What requirements must you meet?

In brief: residence in Switzerland, employment as an employee, Swiss citizenship or residence permit B or C, of legal age. Applications from self-employed persons, persons without earned income, and corporate loans are not possible.

The complete list with exclusions is on the overview page: Who can apply for a loan with eny Credit.

8. What rights do you have after conclusion?

  • Withdrawal for KKG contracts — within 14 days, in writing and without giving reasons. The period begins on receipt of the copy of the contract.
  • Early repayment for KKG contracts — at any time, in full or in part. Interest is waived for the unused loan term and the corresponding costs are reduced appropriately.
  • Entitlement to the contractual details — annual percentage rate, monthly instalment, total cost and term are set out in writing before signature.
  • Protection against over-indebtedness — the assessment of ability to repay is the lender’s obligation.

If your situation changes during the term, get in touch early. Adjusting the instalment is easier than falling into arrears.

Frequently asked questions

Is an online loan safe?

The same rules apply to a loan concluded online as to an agreement at the counter. Where the contract is subject to the KKG, this includes the assessment of ability to repay, the right of withdrawal and the maximum interest rate. Technically, your data is transmitted encrypted; the application and customer area are hosted on secured servers.

When do I receive a first response?

You usually receive a provisional credit decision within around 3 minutes. It is not yet a final commitment.

When is the money in my account?

After final approval and once the requirements for payout are met. The exact time depends on the completeness of your file and the contractual process. The provisional decision after around 3 minutes is not yet a payout commitment.

Does the application cost anything?

No. The application and the offer are free of charge and non-binding.

Do I need a B or C residence permit for the online application?

Without Swiss citizenship, yes: residence permit B or C. Other categories are not covered.

Can I apply for an online loan if I am self-employed?

No. eny Credit grants consumer loans to employed persons in dependent employment. SME financing is available for businesses.

What happens if I withdraw from the agreement?

The agreement lapses. If you withdraw within the period, no costs arise for you. If nothing has yet been paid out — which is the usual case during the period — there is also nothing to repay.

Can I switch a current loan online?

Yes. This pays off if the new annual percentage rate is lower and the saving exceeds the switching costs: Debt consolidation — switch your current loan.
