Frequently asked questions
eny Credit answers the most common questions here about the online loan from CHF 1,000 to 250,000, the application process, the documents required, instalment protection insurance and switching existing loans.
Application and process
What distinguishes the loan from eny?
The application runs entirely online, the annual percentage rate is between 4.90 % and 9.90 % depending on creditworthiness, and early repayment is possible at any time under the KKG. The lender is eny Finance AG, based in Zürich. You can switch an existing loan with another provider.
Are eny products only available online?
The application runs entirely online via enycredit.ch. For questions you can reach us by phone on 0848 460 000; a visit to the branch in Zürich-Altstetten is possible by appointment.
How do I apply for the eny Credit personal loan?
Online in a few steps: set the loan amount (CHF 1,000 to CHF 250,000), enter your personal details, state your income and expenses, view the offer and confirm the application. You receive the credit decision and the loan agreement online.
Can I rely on the online credit commitment?
Yes, the online credit commitment is binding, provided your details are accurate.
What information is requested in the online application?
Personal details, information on your housing situation, income (net salary) and expenses.
Documents and identification
Which documents do I need to submit after the commitment for the payout?
Signed contract documents, salary statements for the last three months, the signed Form A and, for new customers, a certified copy of your identity document (yellow identification).
What is yellow identification?
A certified copy of an identity document. We need it to identify customers uniquely in a way that complies with the law. You can obtain it at the post office, at many banks, at a notary's office or at your municipality of residence — bring a valid identity document with you. Send the original to eny Finance and keep a copy for your records.
What is Form A and what is it for?
With Form A you confirm that you pay the loan instalments with your own money and are therefore the beneficial owner. This corresponds to the requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Terms and costs
How high is the interest rate?
The annual percentage rate is between 4.90 % and 9.90 %, depending on creditworthiness.
How high is the minimum and maximum loan amount?
We finance from CHF 1,000 up to a maximum of CHF 250,000.
How high must my income be at minimum?
We assume a regular income. The amount of our offer is based on your monthly income and your personal budget calculation.
What additional costs arise besides interest?
Our services are mostly free of charge. Postal fees for payments at the counter, physically dispatched documents, reminder fees or extraordinary costs in connection with collection, special instructions or termination may be charged. The full overview can be found in the eny Credit fee sheet.
How do I amortise the personal loan?
In 6 to 120 monthly instalments. We adjust the amount and number of instalments individually to your needs; once set, the instalment stays the same for the whole term.
Can I repay the loan early?
Yes, at any time and at no additional cost. Under Art. 17 KKG, in the event of early repayment you are entitled to a waiver of interest and an appropriate reduction of costs for the unused loan term.
Can I increase the loan amount during the term?
Yes. We assess a top-up using the same criteria as for the existing loan.
Can I take out more than one eny Credit at the same time?
Yes, provided the total loan amount does not exceed your statutory financing limit.
Can I deduct the interest on the personal loan from my taxes?
Yes. Debt interest can be deducted from taxable income in your tax return. You will find the tax certificate at the end of the year in your eny Control account, ready to download and print.
Requirements
Who can apply for an eny Credit?
Adults resident in Switzerland with a regular income from dependent employment, an employment relationship that has not been terminated, a Swiss bank or postal account, a valid identity document or valid residence permit, and without open attachment of earnings or certificates of unpaid debt.
Can I apply for an eny Credit as a cross-border commuter?
No. Residence in Switzerland is a requirement for the loan application.
Is my partner liable for my eny Credit?
No, your partner is not liable for your eny Credit.
Switching and consolidating loans
Can I consolidate several loans and credit card balances?
Yes. You can bundle your credit card balance or other loans into one eny Credit. We pay off the existing commitments, you then pay only one instalment and keep track with eny Control.
Can the current provider charge fees for switching?
Some providers charge fees for the final statement. Switching is usually still worthwhile, as the interest saving typically outweighs these fees within a short time.
Am I allowed to change provider before the end of the agreement?
Yes. By law you have full freedom to choose your provider and to switch at any time. If you switch your existing loan, after the credit commitment we pay the outstanding amount directly to the previous provider.
Do I have to inform my current provider about the switch?
No, you are not legally obliged to do so. For the online application you only need the outstanding balance of your existing loan.
Does eny Finance arrange the final statement with the current provider?
No. Like us, your current provider is subject to statutory confidentiality obligations and may not disclose any information about your business relationship to us. It is best to order the final statement directly from your current provider.
Law, assessment and data protection
What does the Consumer Credit Act (KKG) regulate?
The KKG protects borrowers against over-indebtedness and forms the legal basis for granting consumer loans in Switzerland.
What does the abbreviation ZEK mean?
ZEK stands for the Central Office for Credit Information. It collects reports on consumer loan, leasing and credit card commitments. Before we grant a loan, we check the ZEK entries of the applicant.
Why don't you disclose the reasons for a rejection?
A rejection is always based on a solid legal basis under the KKG and takes into account, among other things, demographic criteria, personal circumstances, the budget as well as existing commitments and payment behaviour. We cannot disclose the individual reasons for rejection for legal reasons.
Can I withdraw from a loan application?
After the loan application, you have 14 days under the KKG to withdraw from the agreement.
Does my employer find out about the loan application?
No. We treat your loan application discreetly.
Is the online transmission of my data secure?
Yes. To protect your personal data, we use modern security systems and technologies.
